THE MALECON

A coastal walk where you can enjoy the sea and nature. Day and night Esplanades with magnificent sculptures, murals, corners for art, a large kiosk, docks and tall palm trees, are part of the route; while on the other side of the sidewalk are shops, hotels, restaurants, shops, ice cream shops, cafes, bars and the famous Whale Museum. Without doubt the tourist heart of the city and the favorite spot for fun.

DOWNTOWN

On a route from the boardwalk to the Cathedral on September 16th Street you can find the old town hall, today La Paz Cultural Center, with exhibitions and activities. The Juarez Theater, an emblematic building; and the Center of Arts, Traditions and Popular Cultures of Baja California Sur, a beautiful space in which interesting exhibitions of popular art are mounted. The agora of La Paz, also has an interesting cultural center: the Regional Museum of Anthropology and History and the Justo Sierra public library, located in the building called El Sobarzo, or the old jail in the city.
